Its about 1.5hrs away from Padang City. Can try Gojek app or just book a driver it was 400.00idr from padang city to sei pisang.
Traffic jam usually on weekends and lunch time on weekdays. So plan carefully.
We took a package deal from instagram pagangislandofficial.com the owner is mr. Heru Farta. Its a 2d1n package for 2 people for 875.000 idr in September 2024. Theres several packages available please check them out on instagram. We came by bost from Sei Pisang harbour it is a 40min boat ride to island. Calm water. Everything is arranged by them you only need to whatssap them and they will provide the boat mans phone number once confirmed. When we came the weather wasnt good so we had to postpone to the next day and all it took was just one message to the company and also to the boat guy. Very nice and understanding of them. No fuss. We asked for early boat to island so we can spend more time and they allowed early check in at 11am 🙏🏻 blessed. Upon arrival they will ask your name and hand you the key. No wifi at the island but there is phone signal so you can use mobile data. Food served is local food if you have dietary restriction like no spicy, gluten free nonsense please arrange your own meal they are not catered to make western food yet but they do have fries and chicken nuggets at the small cafe. Theres soft drinks, sweet coffee and tea. Local style. No brew stuff dont be demanding.
The water is crystal clear and shallow for a few metres before it goes into a sudden deep plunge. No life jackets. Swim safely.
The other side of the island is very rocky and not the best for swimming but has the best sunset view.
The other local tourists appreciate tourists from overseas and always asks for photos which is so cute. Very fun people. Easiest, fuss free check in check out. No deposit signature and all.
