Incredible Khmer monument. Bring water a hat and be awed by the history and architecture.

点评：Khmer monument from the 11th century in Chaloem Phra Kiat, Buriram. There are remains of towers from the 9th century.
Our 3 generations aged between 2 and 65 and family friends had a driver and airconditioned van which made touring easy. Entry was 100 bht (AUS5) for tourists and 50 bht for Thai locals. There were some wonderful souvenir stalls adjacent to the carpark and I bought some beautiful handcrafted Thai items. Bring hats, water and sunscreen. Toilets before entry and at the very top. There are some shaded areas to relax and the temples are truly amazing. I was the least nimble of the walkers and needed assistance with a hand here and there on the uneven steps. Just took it slowly and carefully. Don’t be put off the adventure as this place is over 1,300 years old and quite a spiritual experience to think of the people who trod these paths in history and worshipped here. I thought of the builders who carved and moved the laterite. The museum is worthwhile and so good to see artefacts returned from overseas ‘collectors’.
