点评：The Roundhouse Museum displayed several highly detailed train layouts in a variety of scales. All but one were in operation when I arrived. Various items of railroadiana were on display and many photographs lined the wall. Of particular note were pictures of the high roundhouse in Hagerstown that once housed Western Maryland locomotives. The staff told me this building was torn down due to disrepair in 1995. But the memory lingers as most of the layouts included a large roundhouse. A small number of old train rolling stock in various states of decay were located outside the museum building. I was allowed to enter a caboose.
Most of the layouts are located on the second floor. There is no elevator and visitors must climb up a long stairway to access these.
Free parking is adjacent to the building.
