Blue Lotus Water Garden的点评
点评：This is an excursion I have wanted to take for years now so with a bit of time on our hands it seemed like a good opportunity. Blue Lotus Water Gardens is a seasonal gardens display which is open from 26 December to 21 April each year, there are two flower seasons each season. The first is the ‘Lotus Flower Season’ which runs from 26 December to 20 March and the second is the ‘Autumn Flower Season’ which runs from 21 March to 21 April. The gardens are located on Warburton Highway in Yarra Junction, Victoria and our visit was through the ‘Lotus Flower Season’. On entering the gardens you are handed a very easy to follow map and there is lots of signage to help you find your way around. There are 14 acres of water gardens with thousands of blooms of different colours and shapes, with five highlighted specific areas for the Lotus season it was easy to get around all of them in two hours. The entry prices were good at $26 adults, $23 seniors and children to 15 years free, the pathways are very easy to walk around being flat with just a few gentle rises but if you need it you can book a wheelchair. There are buckets of courtesy umbrellas at the entry and plenty of seating around the walking tracks which are usually under shelter, it was 32 degrees yesterday but it was easy to keep out of the worst of the heat. The gardens cater for everyone with children’s playgrounds, picnic areas, a kiosk, a garden cafe, a gift shop and a nursery. After driving two hours to get here it was felt it was well worth the time, some of our family caught up with us with only added to the enjoyment of the day.
