点评：I have attended twice in last two months. Firstly I love live music and small venues and
appreciate the physical challenges of them v a large venue . 1. Seating. Not great. This venue is geared solely towards groups. The seating does not suit couples or even groups of four. Most tables are for groups of 8 which is the only size you can pre-book. Even then you sit 4 either side of a table which is not a great layout for music. What does this mean? Singles/couples either have to share one of the non-prebooked tables with strangers (didn’t look like there were many non pre-booked) or stand at the back near the bar as it’s the only area left. Not much room there either. Then when the music starts people with seats come and dance at the back as there is no real space either side of their tables or at the front. So the only space you’ve got gets encroached on by people who actually have seats. 2. The food. Low quality. 3. The alcohol. Only drank beer but $10 a schooner. 4-5 beers a night = equiv of a case of beer. I guess the norm for inner west but Botany Bay Hotel the night before for a music gig with $7 schooners. 4. Toilets. Nothing a good clean couldn’t fix. 5. Overall. Seating arrangements ruined the night on both occasions. Even getting to the 2nd gig 30 min early made no difference. Literally every seat was taken. Alright if you’re in a group of 8 or more but screw everyone else was the message I got. I won’t be returning anytime soon or recommending to anyone else. Shame as the music was great.
