Bird Guide Cornelio的点评
点评：We first met Cornelio Ramos Gabriel 7 years ago when we hired him for two days of birding. We have never forgotten his skill.
Exceptional. Absolutely 10 out of 10! He was enthusiastic, focused, intelligent, and kind. A fantastic guide who was genuinely keen to teach us and to show us everything, and more!
So returning this year, we scheduled more time, and he offered to take us into the high mountains for a 2-day overnight. Cornelio arranged everything, and it worked perfectly. He was easy to communicate with to reserve the dates, and was always punctual. He brought drinks and snacks and made sure we had some nice restaurant meals.
On the way up to altitude, we made numerous stops, where Cornelio was like a human Merlin App, often first identifying a bird by sound, and then hunting it down until we got a good visual, often using his high-powered scope. He was able to digi-scope many of our sightings using my phone and his scope.
We saw many exciting endemics and lifers, with our total bird list of over 100.
Cornelio counted many more on his eBird list, of course, because we did not count birds that we were not 100% sure of.
We even finished off in the evening of our overnight with the endemic Mexican whip-poor-will and a Mottled owl. They were in the pines in front of our forest cabin, under a full moon. We could easily see them under the light of our headlamps.
The cabana was simple but comfortable, with a hot shower and lovely fireplace to take off the chill.
Cornelio is worth every penny. His incredible field skills are only possible with decades of dedicated and focused attention. He is a true professional.
We have birdwatched with guides on all 7 continents and we can honestly say that Cornelio ranks amongst the best!
Book him now, you will not be disappointed. But we have him for this Thursday, so you are out of luck then!
