Excellent Traditional Coffee Tour at Ocaso

点评：I recently visited and truly loved the experience. I wasn't sure how to book the tour in advance and was concerned about logistics, primarily timing and transportation. Luckily, I stayed in Salento, where there is an Ocaso Coffee House store, and the kind woman behind the counter reserved the tour for me for the very next day. I believe there were 2 times available for the Traditional Coffee tour ($50,000 at the time of my visit), 9 am (English) or 10 am (Spanish). There are many 3rd party sites through which to book in advance. My tour was at 10 am, with Aristole (I believe), who was excellent and very informative. There were several locals on the tour who asked great questions that might not have been asked had it been a group of foreigners only, so I'm happy I chose the Spanish language tour for this reason (but I'm sure the tour is just as great in English!). The grounds are also beautiful, and there is a cafe on site, which was nice. Additionally, I was able to travel from Salento to the Ocaso Finca with ease using the directions provided at the store during booking. The Willys from Salento cost approximately $8,000-$9,000 COP each way. You can book your round-trip before leaving, not at the store but with the folks who manage the Willy's at the meeting location. If traveling by Willy, the roads can be dusty and the Willys are open so expect to get dusty, wear comfy shoes you don't mind getting dirty. If traveling from other locations or via different forms of transport that are covered, dust might be less of an issue. However, we did get a chance to go pick coffee in the fields, so just something to keep in mind. The tour was informative yet comprehensive. I highly recommend.
