I had the chance to observe how Pahang-style batik (block printing) is traditionally made. The staff were friendly and welcoming — they explained the batik-making process in detail, which made the experience even more meaningful.
After that, I explored the retail section where they sell a wide variety of batik fabrics, as well as batik clothing for men, women, and children, in many beautiful designs and patterns. Pahang batik has its own unique style, distinctly different from the batik found in Kelantan or Terengganu, which makes it special and worth discovering.
One of the highlights was the DIY batik painting area outside, where visitors can colour their own batik block art and bring it home. This is a fun and creative activity, perfect for families or school groups.
