Revamp has destroyed the character of this once fabulous estate

点评：Like many others on Tripadvisor and Google Reviews, I was seriously disappointed by the revamp. Went here with friends for the Cellar Door experience only to be rudely greeted by staff as we didn't have a booking...for the Cellar Door! That's the point! And, as for this so-called Cellar Door, you ask? Well, it was a handful of tables next to the bar. Red Hill Estate owners: that's called a bar, not a Cellar Door! I also get the impression the staff are not very knowledgeable about the wines, and have even less time to educate their customers. Bob used to be very knowledgeable and very generous with his time, helping customers to understand their preferred tastes. The bar (NOT, Cellar Door!) and restaurant also do not have any real character or ambiance, unlike the original Cellar Door. I won't be returning. There are many excellent alternatives on the Morn Pen.
