点评：Al Mirani Fort Oman
One of the great Heritage site to explore.
You can see the architectural wonder at Al Mirani Fort. You literally feel the scent of Omanis History and Legacy at every corner of it. It has been going through lots of transitions and renovations, one after another centuries, yet it stands tall and firm and well maintained . The Fort built on giant rocks. Beautifully designed, surrounded by mesmerizing view of ocean and city. Next to Al Alam (The Sultan’s) Palace. National Museum of Oman is in 5/6 minutes walking distance from the Fort. Al Jajali Fort (Currently closed for public) is pretty near from it. Just about 5-6 minutes away from Muttrah Souq. Great location!
Upon arrival, at the reception I met Yousuf Aldhabari, who was very hospitable and helpful. He made my visit so seamlessly wonderful. Amazing personality! You deserve 5 stars buddy. Keep it up.
You will find one beautiful caffe on roof top, called ‘Fort Caffe’ for quick bites and sips. It feels so good, sitting on crafted wooden chairs at the balcony, sipping your hot/cold beverage and viewing the breathtaking landscapes scenery. Truly heaven!
I met Janaat at the caffe, She was also very welcoming. The latte, she prepared was so nice, great fusion. Well done Janaat!
I met a gentleman Mustafa, who takes care of cleanliness of the areas. Very helpful person.
Upon departure, I met Ali at reception. I had some questions and curiosity about the fort and its history. And Ali explained me very clearly and detailed. His story telling skill is outstanding.
Tip to visitors: please have couple of Coins (Omani Currency) with you or change at reception to unlock the binoculars to explore the beautiful city and ocean closely. I missed it, since I didn’t have any.
Advice to management team: it would be an other big plus, if you facilitate somebody on the site who can be the story teller for some highlights.
Definitely recommend this magnificent heritage site to all who love history and architecture.
