Admission to the museum is USD 7 with reductions for families. Good parking is available in front of the museum. Elk Horn has links to Denmark as a number of Danish imiigrants settled here in the 1860’s.
The collections of the museum are extensive with several interesting artifacts and stories about the immigrants, including why they left, how they settled and made a living in the US and how they assimilated into American society. Some interesting exhibits include Danish products including a beautifully restored 1950 Nimbus Motorbike and porcelain by Royal Copenhagen. Famous entertainer Victor Borge also donated his Hindsberg grand piano to the museum.
A well stocked gift shop should also be mentioned.
