Not quite what was advertised, but impressive all the same.
Pink Beach的点评
点评：We came to Pink beach at sunset as part of our boat expedition on the ‘Gandiva’. This was a great experience as we had the beach all to ourselves.
In terms of practicalities.
* Yes, it’s pink. Kind of. The photos in the tourism sales offices in Labuan bajo use filters or AI to magnify the intensity though so maybe lower your expectations a bit on the pinkness.
* It’s only really pink near the waterline, as it’s formed by a certain coral that washes ashore.
* If you walk about 200m up from the main area its covered in plastic and this is disappointing to see in a national park that charges an entry fee (They only clean the area most of the tourists go). Indonesians just dont seem to see plastic like the rest of us. It’s like it’s invisible to them.
* There isnt any coral to see but you can swim on the beach.
* There are a few makeshift stores selling food and drink.
Overall a worthy addition to a larger Komodo island trip. It’s just a shame that they have to mislead travellers about it. I find Indonesia does this a bit unfortunately (overhype their tourist attractions).
