The Abbey Pub的点评
点评：So, the good news.
The pub is open, and a round is still cheap. The staff are perfectedly pleasant. The food looks good. The fire was on downstairs, very cosy.
The bad news?
We went on a Friday night and there was NO ONE upstairs. Literally no one. There were about 7 people downstairs. It was like drinking in a church. I have pictures from happier times. I'll share them. This is what it used to be like, pub chain owner. They are clearly taken at Christmas some years ago.
The owners' idiotic rules ruin this place. Its right next to a park; dogs are banned. So they're all across the road in the other pub, which was busy.
Mobile phones are banned. So folks were nipping outside to take messages. No, that's not the digital detox the owner clearly thinks it is. It's just annoying.
I used to be a regular, along with a gang of mates. I came here for old times' sake. I won't return until the owner recinds his stupid, petty, business-ruining rules.
I feel sorry for the staff who put up with it. I wouldn't.
