点评：We had a fantastic time with Sonia and her sled dogs. Hanging out with sled dogs in the summer may seem odd, but the dogs need lots of exercise and stimulation throughout the year. These off-season visits are private, so it was just our family, Sonia, her daughter, and the dogs. We had a great time sizing up the dogs and were asked to choose a dog (from her 60!) that we felt a connection with for our hike. After some basic instructions, we hiked through the nearby wooded area's trails. Sonia had even set up a beverage station about half-way through, which was a thoughtful gesture on a muggy day.
The hike itself was more of a moderately-paced walk. Nothing too strenuous, but we still felt it was a bit of a workout. Our son had recently suffered a leg injury, so sat it out (but still got to play with the dogs at the end of the visit).
Sonia was kind enough to take photos throughout the journey and sent them to us later in the day.
We did offer her a cash tip at the end of the experience, which is did not seem she was expecting, but was certainly appreciated. (I'd recommend it, considering the personalized service and private experience)
All in all, a great experience. Do note that Alaskan Adventures shares a home base with a paintball venue. There is ample seating in there, as well as a bathroom.
