点评：I cannot recommend the National Trust Tramper (all-terrain mobility scooter) hire at Malham Tarn enough. Living with Sjögren’s disease, I have spent years grieving the loss of being able to explore the countryside with my husband. I’ve only recently accepted the need for mobility aids, and I honestly thought my days of seeing places like the Tarn were over.
The Tramper changed everything. The booking process was seamless, and the staff provided excellent training before we set off. Being able to get back out into nature—not just sitting in a cafe, but actually on the trail—was exhilarating and deeply emotional. It gave me back a sense of freedom I thought I’d lost forever.
It wasn’t just life-changing for me, but for my husband too, who has had to walk alone for years. Being able to experience those breathtaking views together was the absolute highlight of our trip.
If you are hesitant about whether you can still "do" nature with a disability, please try this. It makes the inaccessible, accessible. Huge thanks to the team for the work they do—it truly transforms lives.
