点评：Surya Kund is a significant pilgrimage site which is located just walkable distance from Vishnupad temple in Gaya. It holds religious importance primarily for Hindu devotees performing rituals and offer prayers for the salvation of ancestors, particularly those related to ancestor worship and the salvation of departed souls. People believe that taking a dip in the waters of Surya Kund can help purify one's sins and facilitate the liberation on ancestors souls. It is believed that diseases are cured by bathing in this lake., but now the situation is not so good. It's not at all maintained.
This lake is about 292 feet long and 156 feet wide. The Dakshinayan statue of Lord Sun is installed in near by temple. Devotees from all over country come to take bath in Surya Kund Sarovar and worship in the Sun temple to get rid of their problems.
