Fantastic Winery for Higher End Wines!

点评：RdV is likely the most expensive winery in the state, but their wines are worth it! We've managed to find them at a local restaurant and have been getting all 3 labels when they became available.
We finally found ourselves out in that area, so we made an appointment prior and stopped by. We were welcomed with a glass of rosé which was made on the property. Then we had a tour of the entire property and a flight that included the new Rendezvous, Lost Mountain, and a library 2014 Lost Mountain. The only thing that did disappoint me was that friends did a flight here last year, and it included Dom Perignon, which we were expecting, but did not get.
The winery is pricy - $375 for two people for the premier tasting. We also joined their wine club for $700 a year and left with 3 bottles of the new Lost Mountain. They only make 3 Bordeaux style reds, and you can purchase these and other non-RdV French wines as part of the wine club membership.
It's a sophisticated atmosphere, and they don't allow anyone under 21, which I absolutely love! My only hope is now that they've sold to Château Montrose, they won't change too much in the coming years.
