点评:We've been going to concerts at the Pavilion and BIC for over 20 years and I've left many good reviews on here. However, last Monday we went to see Englebert Humperdinck in concert. It was plagued with sound issues and he kept stopping for them to be sorted out. They even stopped the performance for 20 mins (the concert was scheduled to run without an interval). Pavilion staff didn't know what was going on and were very unhelpful, adding to the frustration of many members of the audience. EH's voice sounded very croaky. The whole evening was a complete car crash. I complained, in writing, to BH staff but they tried to fob me off saying that my contract was with the promoter, which is not the case. Sadly, they just don't seem bothered and I will probably be left with no option but to involve a Third Party to resolve the complaint. Such a shame, I wanted to love EH, as I have great childhood memories, listening to him with my late parents. BH staff appeared to blame the sound issues on the promoter, yet there don't seem to have been these same issues at any of his other concerts on this tour. Even EH said the same. I assumed this may not be true, but looking at reviews it does suggest that the issues were down to the Pavilion. It's a shame they refuse to take ownership, apologise to an extremely loyal customer and actually do the right thing.
