点评：My Castilian father in law took me here following a wonderful driving trip south of Bilbao. It's most likely that you will visit here by car and some street parking is not an issue. Places like Ona are very special to me because they really are a part of the historical Spain I crave. The history here predates Ferdinand and Isabella by centuries. The monastery itself is stunning, as is the surrounding and entry to it.
Most foreigners are not likely visit but I would urge anyone doing a Rioja wine visit and using their own transport to take a minor detour to see this place. As a matter of fact, there are a lot of superb historical monuments in these parts which will enhance any wine/food visit. I really love classic Spanish historical places like this. Well worth a visit.
