点评：Unfortunately we felt this course struggled in a number of areas.
First and foremost the quality of the tees, fairways and greens were straight up horrible.
We teed off on deep mats of different grass types and ended up on sand with occasional strands of Bermuda. Half the fairways looked destroyed by something. There was simply no growth on them.
The greens were marginally better but very slow.
The layout is what you get from a course squeezed into a very small and undulating hillside. That can have its charm. This unfortunately did not; it seemed unkept. And some of the set-ups of the tees and locations were strange, seemingly a result of wanting to present two different t-box options on each of the 9 holes. Commendable, but futile on my opinion.
The worst driving range I have ever warmed up in did not make first impressions of the course - after traversing 4 stories down from the parking - any better. Ancient balls hit into a 30-meeter wide chasm, taking a maximum of a 7-iron from any single handicapper, from less than ten equally ancient mats, was surreal.
The putting green was in the process of being excavated when we visited. Hopefully then first
more improvements.
We were charged €52 for this dubious pleasure that took 2.5 hours for the first nine, thanks to a family of four ahead of us that clearly not played much golf.
This was obviously not worth it from a value-for-money perspective. On the positive side, we were met by a very service oriented and English speaking conscierge, and the staff were friendly. The views of the mountains are quite stunning. And the members we met were really nice and welcoming.
We’re not coming back. If you you’re looking for a pay-and play, Javea Golf Club is a better golf experience.
