Beautiful concept, but worried about the animals

点评：We recently visited Taman Indonesia and were initially charmed by the unique cultural theme and cozy atmosphere. We were invited to dress in traditional clothes and dance along on the Terra’s, which was very spontaneous and fun. However, we left with mixed feelings due to concerns about animal welfare — especially the otter.
The otter was alone in its enclosure and repeatedly picked up small stones and brought them to the glass, seemingly trying to engage with visitors. It looked unnatural and compulsive, like a sign of boredom and/or stress. This made our visit feel quite sad.
Some of the enclosures felt small or outdated, and overall the animals didn’t seem mentally or physically stimulated.
I truly hope the park will consider improvements in the animals’ environment and enrichment. The idea behind the park is special, but the animals deserve conditions that allow them to thrive.
🐾 I have contacted the park directly to express our concern and hope others will kindly speak up too if they notice similar things.
