点评：My golfing friend and I were booked for 5 nights in The Double Tree Hilton, having never been before I was a bit perplexed at some of the reviews on here, I`m a glass half full so didn`t let it cloud my judgement before experiencing myself. Sadly, this hotel is no where near the 5 Star promoted, at best 4 Star and in some areas could be less.... very tired looking, the sauna and steam room not on and had to ask to put on, which takes a long time to heat up for desired effect. The breakfast is a buffet, it was fine but wouldn`t rave about it, been in far better at a 4 star hotel. The rooms were cleaned daily and are comfortable, spacious and bright.
On the upside there are some really good restaurants very close by, our first night we visited Rangla Punjab Indian, fabulous food, great service and very reasonable, needless to say we re-visited before returning back home. Another worthy of a mention is The Blue Collar, this is upstairs from the Indian and again fabulous, this had a varied selection menu, anything from Fillet steaks, pasta dishes, Chicken dishes... you name it, it was probably there, give this a shot, wish we had tried before our last night. the Italian and Chinese are 2 that I wouldnt reccommend, but everyone has different tastes and expectations. Last one to try is Sophia`s Cafe bar in the Square, especially if you like cake! Unfortunately for us and our Golf it rained for 3 of the 5 days, so we were forced into having a few refreshments earlier than normal, we found The Lakeside Bar to be very popular with golfers alike and exttremey reasonable - 6.80eu for 2 x pints. The opposite could be said for the Irish Bar... 19eu for 2 x G&T`s! Once bitten twice shy, didn`t re-visit. On the whole it was a great place to be for golf if the sun is out, with no sun there is a huge lack of things to do, it is for golfers and residents so it`s understandable.
