Lovely Farm!
Astley Book Farm的点评
点评：The book farm was lovely and was so cool to look around all of the different texts around the farm. It was a sunny day so the flowers and tent outside were really beautiful to look at. The book farm was very cool inside so spent a lot of time having a look around and we really enjoyed it! It was lovely to sit and also be able to talk to eachother in a calm and relaxing environment. There was ample parking and it was easily accessible from the main road.
However, in the cafe it was busy and there were not enough staff at all. The woman on the front had explained it was her first day and didn’t know much and the more experienced staff had left her to it, but would happily come and tell her she was going wrong from the kitchen area, instead of aiding her. She was doing brilliantly considering the circumstances and was very apologetic and the drinks were lovely. It was slightly overpriced with £3.45 for around a smaller drink but the range of pastries and cakes available were impressive and tasted nice. Where we were sat, we could see staff in the kitchen chopping and handing food whilst using their phones all the time and even taking selfies. We saw many using their phones and then placing them on the chopping board which really put us off eating anything due to how unhygienic that is and a lack of handwashing that we saw.
We’d come back because the farm was lovely and we really enjoy visiting such a beautiful place, however this time we were let down by the service and probably wouldn’t eat the food here ever again.
