Still good for books. No cafe, no atmosphere.

点评：We used to regularly visit and loved the cafe which was always a highlight. Great food, friendly service, warm atmosphere. Shocked at the difference. Serve yourself coffee machine - although still charging regular cafe prices (£2.50 for a poor cup of tea - tasted strange, cheap teabags). No signage regarding how to get a tea or coffee and no prices displayed either. No provision for children either - I don’t know any small children that drink machine coffee or tea. Row of expensive leather sofas with nowhere convenient to place the paper cups apart from a cheap plastic tray. Absolutely no atmosphere.
The bookshop part is improved, cleaner, fewer books, better signage. However I really think that the owners will lose customers and income because of the decision to close the cafe. It was a combined experience and the cafe was a major reason for the great reviews.
