点评:Our experience at Refugio was above and beyond expectations -- we hadn't yet visited a sanctuary in CR so we were very happy to find one in the San Jose area where we spent the last few days of our trip. Rachel was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic; great that you can show up anytime and get a guided tour! A family of three arrived at the same time and joined the two of us so we were a nice small group with a keen interest in and love of animals. Our tour lasted close to 2 hours (because of all our questions and Rachel's detailed information) -- nice there's no rush at all. Learned about the animal histories, their rehabilitation and the plans for their release back into the wild if possible. After our tour, we went back to spend a bit more time with the sloths; what a treat to see them up close!
Some may find the admission fee high but we were more than happy to pay knowing our Canadian dollars were going towards such a good cause, totally worth the time we had there too! If I am fortunate to return to the area, I plan to stay and volunteer next time : )

有些人可能会觉得门票有点贵,但我们非常乐意支付,因为我们知道我们的加元是用于如此有意义的事业,而且在那里度过的时间也绝对物超所值!如果我有机会再次来到这个地区,我计划下次留下来做志愿者:)
