Low Barns Nature Reserve visit one afternoon
Low Barns Nature Reserve & Visitor Centre的点评
点评：I often visit as it's an oasis of paradise, compact with parking. Paying for parking is optional. I would recommend 1hr, to 3 depending on the nature of the visit. The hides are fascinating and the bird id charts are really helpful. Alternatively there's the Riverside to view. I often take a book and sit on the rock and listen to the rippling water.
There's numerous hides to visit, and plenty of walks. It's nice to see the walkway across the reeds is open again
There's a picnic area and in the café zone, loos. I don't bother with the cafe, I didn't visit for the café, but I can confirm it was busy. There's ice creams etc available
But be careful as the gates close the car park at 4.30!
Easy to get to. Easy to find. Easy to park!
A super few hours spent in solitude and peacefulness.
The river Wear is beautiful at this time of year
