Magical Night Hike at Rancho Tropical – A Must-Do in the Osa Peninsula!

点评：The night tour at Rancho Tropical was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my trip to Costa Rica. Honestly, it’s not the type of activity I would typically sign up for, but as a solo traveler looking for group tours in the non-touristic season, this came up, and I’m so glad I joined. Walking through the rainforest after dark felt like stepping into a completely new world; the jungle truly comes alive in ways you can’t imagine during the day.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the nocturnal wildlife of the Osa Peninsula and managed to keep us safe while making the whole experience both fun and fascinating. My favorite moment was spotting a kinkajou with bright eyes glowing in the dark. ✨
The trails are well-maintained, and we crossed several bridges over streams where our guide pointed out wildlife I would have never noticed on my own. The number of frogs we saw near the lagoons was just insane! I had done a 2-day tour to Corcovado just a few days earlier, and I honestly felt like the forest at Rancho Tropical was just as rich in wildlife. What really surprised me was how different the encounters were at night compared to daytime in Corcovado. It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
If you’re visiting the Osa Peninsula, don’t miss this experience. It’s exciting, and truly magical.
