Rosenbruch World Wildlife Museum的点评
点评：We visited here recently as part of a two-week-long road trip from our home in southeastern PA out to visit UT’s national parks. We love nature and wildlife, and we were very impressed with this museum. There were numerous large dioramas of animals from Africa, Asia, and North America, all in active poses and naturalistic settings. One room featured large insects, butterflies, moths, beetles, katydids, etc., which are always fun to see up close; a large display case contained water fowl and other birds.
There is a theater here that was showing videos about hunters and their various accomplishments in their field; we would have loved seeing some nature-oriented videos shown there instead. Then it would be a nice spot to sit and relax in the air-conditioning a bit while learning more about the various animals on display here.
This site reminded us of the Bryce Wildlife Museum near Bryce Canyon National Park (both of which we visited last summer) and the much larger Wonders of Wildlife Museum in Springfield, MO (which we visited several years ago). If you enjoy viewing mounted wildlife specimens from around the world, check these places out!
This museum was easy to find (it is located at the Dixie Convention Center) and had plentiful free parking and a reasonable admission charge. There is a nice gift store here, as well as a tourist information center manned by a helpful staff member. All in all, we spent one hour here and enjoyed our visit very much.
