A Mixed Experience with Arrowhead Birding

点评：We have just returned from our birding trip with Arrowhead Birding Tour. The following is a frank review of our experiences with this company. First, we will start with the strengths.
1. We saw all the endemics.
2. Ricardo is a charming fellow. Dwayne and he know the birds superbly and where to find them.
3. The food venues were for the most part excellent, and the accommodations were comfortable.
4. The experience gave us a good taste of Jamaica and its people.
The major weaknesses were the following.
1. Lack of transparency in the itinerary and who would be guiding us. Our inferences from Ricardo was that he would be our primary guide. Such was not the case. It was only after we messaged him on the evening prior to when he was due to meet us that we were informed, this was not to be the case, Dwayne was to be the main guide for four out of the six days of the trip.
2. Switch in guides beyond Kingston seems to be the standard operating procedure.
3. While Dwayne is passionate and knowledgeable about birds, his demeanor was capricious, at times inexplicably aggrieved and unhelpful.
4. On our last day, Dwayne disappointingly diverged from what we had been promised.
In summary, we recommend Arrowhead Birding with the above Reservations.
