Derby Dinner Playhouse的点评
点评：I went for a Sunday matinee. Doors open at 11:45am. Large free parking lot. Everyone goes in the same doors, but ticket holders enter the theater on one side and regular patrons the other. Plenty of bathroom stalls. Small gift shop. Buffet is open and the line is long as everyone has arrived at the same time. Waitstaff will take your drink order and be back before you are with your food. If you see someone dressed differently, they are probably in the Overtures, which is about 10 minutes of singing of upcoming shows. Enjoyable act.
We loved the experience! The buffet was mediocre, the desserts were over-sized and fabulous, but cost extra. Tipping is expected and well deserved.
We sat at a table with season ticket holders for the past 40 years. They said we had the best seats in the house as we were in the middle of the theater. And though the play does a good job facing all sides, the seats facing the stage are favored. The direct center table is 100.
I appreciate the reminder email I received for the upcoming show and last minute tips. I liked that they try to keep the temperature at 72, but it was far from it when I was there. I didn't know who to tell. I stood in line at the Box Office for over 10 minutes and it didn't move. It was as if people had wandered in to purchases seats for the entire season. Finally, the concierge returned to his post but I'm not sure he really cared that I was cold, as were many other patrons who were putting on coats.
I am impressed with the quality of shows they have here. They need to improve the food. Just including a reasonable size dessert would be appreciated. Though my neighbor was sticking chicken wings in her purse, so maybe she'd have to bring a bigger purse to take home cookies!

这里的演出质量给我留下了深刻的印象。不过，他们的食物需要改进。如果能提供一份分量合适的甜点就更好了。虽然我旁边的邻居把鸡翅塞进了包里，看来她得带个更大的包才能把饼干带回家！
