Wonderful outdoor experience marred by lack of compassion

点评：My husband and I booked a beautiful cabin to share with our 2 dogs in celebration of my husband's birthday . My husband had always wanted to experience the Buffalo River. We were delighted when we arrived. The view from the cabin was spectacular and the cabin was well appointed. Unfortunately one of our dogs became seriously ill and we had to leave in the early hours of the morning after our arrival. We called the office to find out if we could get a refund for the time we weren't there and were told that the contract stipulates no refund of an abbreviated stay. Whereas I understand completely that there is a contract in place I found it hurtful that the company didn't acknowledge a shared human experience of distress by offering us a discount or credit for a future trip. As it stands we will never return as the trip is forever associated with a medical emergency of a member of our family and with a company that prizes business above a compassionate response to guests in need of it.
