Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre的点评
点评：We visited for the Jive Aces Sunday afternoon show and were not disappointed. The theatre is lovely and well restored and wherever you sat you would have a good view of the stage with the area being compact in size.
The one thing I would advise is if you are not particularly mobile the aisle down the middle is very steep and you need to watch your footing. I am mobile and I walked very slowly! So I would suggest that you choose seating to the rear for ease of access, you won't miss out on anything.
The volunteer staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was well stocked for such a venue and there was no issue in taking your drink into the seating area as it is served in plastic glasses.
The Theatre is on the second floor but loos on first floor, so allow time for the lift if you cannot use the stairs.
One thing to mention, the adjoining cafe is not open on Sundays and the doors do not open until approx 30 mins prior to performance, we could not find this information on our tickets or the website, it may be worth adding for those visiting for the first time.
We parked in the North St Car park, free on Sundays and after 6pm, the spaces were quite tight (we have a large car), it was only a short walk down a narrow alley over the road to Broad St.
Overall a very enjoyable afternoon, recommended.
