Taken to court for paying for parking

点评：Over the years we have visited the park and cafe fairly regularly to walk our dogs and have a brew. It’s a lovely park and we generally enjoy it.
We no longer visit after a very unpleasant PARKING experience.
We paid for parking and displayed the printed ticket correctly. A couple of weeks later we received a fine from Minster Baywatch. I had retained the ticket, so I appealed it and sent the information. They declined the appeal saying the reg no of the car was wrong. It was only then that I checked and printed on the ticket was “FFFFF” .(which I now believe means Fault)
I appealed again, to no avail. I contacted the park who said they would get the ticket cancelled but then received threatening letters from Gladstones Solicitors with additional fines that we declined to pay.
Gladstones took us to court. We defended ourselves after many hours of case preparation.
We won at court, but we have spent hours having to deal with this horrible company. It has been a very stressful and lengthy process and we felt threatened and bullied throughout. What started as a pleasant two hour walk, ended with a two year court battle.
My advice, AVOID - there are better places to visit.
