Coffee and a lava tube!

点评：Our Kona history tour stopped here. I was really disappointed after my volcano national park tour in Hilo the day before didn’t stop at the lava tubes. I was so excited to find out that there was actually a lava tube here that we were able to walk down to. It’s a little bit of a walk down and up some moderate hills to get to but it’s well paved, cleared, and marked so it’s not a hard walk. It’s not a long lava tube or anything like you might see at the park but it’s still neat and I was thrilled to get to see it. It takes maybe 15 minutes to walk down and back. We still had time to try a couple of the coffee samples they had out. They have them out and you can try as many as you want. I tried the chocolate macadamia nut and the hazelnut. Both were excellent. They also have a tiny room that serves as a little museum with some facts about the company and coffee. We strolled through there. It didn’t take very long but it was interesting. They have a small shop where they sell their coffee and a few souvenirs. I loved it. So fun to get to see a lava tube and sample some coffee. Fun stop.
