点评:Narrabeen Lagoon State Forest is a mixed bag in terms of being a state forest area. The land around the lagoon is almost entirely allocated to picnic grounds, sporting facilities and clubs, built-up suburban zones and bounded by heavy traffic roads on western and northern land sides. It is heavily used by bike riders including powered bikes, dog walkers as well as joggers. There is a well marked walk way around the entire perimeter of the lagoon but generally this is an over-developed area. There are areas of wetland in the southern edge with aspects of conservation however this is mainly remnant wetland and is subject to some contanimation from sewage and storm water drainage. Recommended for those persons who simply need a walk or bike ride in an urban area (the distance around the lagoon is approx 8.2 klms). For wildlife or conservation minded persons, this offers marginal interest. Metered parking for non locals is steep at $10 per hour charged by the local council.
