Mountain Monarch Adventures - Private Day Tours的点评
点评：I trekked with Mountain Monarch (MM) December 2024/January 2025 to EBC, and I cannot find a word that would describe the AMAZING experience and the service that was provided by MM. This is a trek that is not to be taken lightly, and you want to make sure you are looked after from all aspects. My Journey started in April 2024 when I contacted MM as they were highly recommended by a friend who trekked with them few years back. From the first email I sent with questions, Pradeep responded the same day to my questions, and it was a no brainer to go ahead and book with them for the price you pay and what you receive, it's a great deal, so there are no surprises. I was impressed that the Sleeping bag, duffel bag and warm jacket was included as other companies provide but for a fee, MM provided at no additional cost.
At Kathmandu Pradeep did a gear check with me as he was happy to provide if I had forgotten anything. Pradeep drove me to the airport and arranged check in etc. When I arrived in Lukla Airport, Nima my guide and Anis my porter was there waiting for me, we did the meet and greet, Nima also did a gear check and went through what the day would like, and off we went.
Nima every evening would go through what to expect the next day, as we trekked, he would provide, history, point out to the various beautiful mountains and their names, he would tell me about the Nepalese culture and so much more, he is extremely knowledgeable. He would ensure my meals were served before he would even eat. Nima constantly would check in on how I was feeling particular as elevation increased and coming from Australia where I live elevation is at sea level. Safety was key and Nima ensured I was safe the whole trek. I loved that we took a path that is off the main track and experienced most beautiful scenery. Nima is medically knowledgeable, and he was equipped with medical supplies should there be a need, whilst it wasn't required, I was comforted by the fact that he would know what to do should aid be required.
The tea houses we visited for lunch and overnight where fabulous, clean and comfortable. Nima reputation precedes him, he's loved by all the tea house owners/helpers, and you are treated as family. Everything was done for me by Nima which I was not expecting, as we trekked and talked, I felt as if Nima was like a brother to me, and certainly now a friend for life.
Day 4 started to become challenging and Nima had the "take it slowly approach and no pressure". Day 7 as we were higher in elevation my day pack started to feel heavier which I was expecting, Nima carried my water to lighten the load. That same day in the afternoon, Anis appeared as he had dropped my overnight bag at the teahouse we were staying for that night and returned to carry my day pack which Nima had arranged with him, that helped me immensely allowing me to focus on my walking and breathing.
Day 8, we did it reached EBC, what an amazing experience and feeling, still in awe of the experience and I should add Nima was always pointing out great photo opportunities and I didn't have to do selfies as he was encouraging to take photos of me. I wanted to do a video for the family back home and he was great in filming which my family loved! He knew the exact time to take sunsetting over the mountains with the beautiful golden look.
I have been travelling for over 30 years, and I have never experienced the fabulous service that Nima and MM provided, and I am certain that I will never experience a guide like Nima, he certainly has set the benchmark. I can say much more though space on this page is limited.
I highly recommend MM as they have fabulous operations. Thank you to the driver that Picked up from the Airport on arrival, the great reception I received at the Harati Manor Inn by Shushil and Uttam, I was looked after pre and post the Trek. Thanks to Rams for the City tour of Kathmandu which was great. Thank you, Pradeep, for continuing the Trek even though others had cancelled, and I was the only one given it was group trek. Anis, I miss your beautiful smile, and I am grateful for you carrying my bag. And Nima, I don't have enough words to thank you, you are a beautiful person, and I miss you sharing stories of your family. Thank you, and I will certainly use MM when I am in Nepal next. Eima.
