点评：We only went in the gardens/grounds, but had a lovely walk. No dogs or children under 15 allowed, which was fine with us. It was nice to be able to enjoy the peace and serenity without having to watch out for dog poo, or listen to reactive barking, which seems to be an often encountered hazard in other places. I like children, but it would be difficult to make the river and ponds safe from young children, and some of the terrain is not suitable for pushchairs. It is a lovely place to just sit and relax and take in the views. Very calming, and stunningly beautiful. We took a picnic with us as there is nowhere to buy food or drink. The toilets were very clean, and all the workers that we encountered were pleasant and helpful. There is a charge of £10 entrance, and parking is onsite and included in that. There are many paths and hidden gardens behind doors or through arches to explore. We also found a church within the grounds, with amazing stained glass windows. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
