点评：Worst rental experience in my life… I’ve been travelling for more than 15years, always made sure my rentals were covered with some sort of insurance. My bad i didn’t read the full contract before renting with Indie. Rented an outback van (ducato 5.4m) to do a road trip from Perth to esperance in western Australia. It started on a bad taste as indie campers modified my booking 3 days before pick-up. The van was only available 24h hours later…
Finally we picked up the van at Perth depot. In the middle of nowhere. Pretty poor offices…
Pick-up was really not professional at all.
Little explanation, extra not ready (bed set, cooking set,…)
We’ve been warned that the insurance doesn’t cover the top of the van, got the keys and that’s it. I asked to add additional damages on the contract. He didn’t bother. Been told to take pictures, i’ll be fine.
Then while driving, i’ve been very unlucky, a kangaroo hoped from the side of the road, and hit the van pretty badly. Luckily no passengers were injured.
Once we found signal i reported the incident to the support chat. What a mistake!!! Just been told it’s not covered. I’m liable for all damages and I’ve to organise everything like towing back to depot (700km) and repairs.
I eventually made it back myself to the depot and wanted to discuss with the staff to organise the repair. Just been told i shouldn’t have told support that I hit a kangaroo. Now everything needs to go through them and it’s gonna be expensive.
I believe they gonna ripped the hell out of me with unrealistic repairs.
To be honest damages are not that bad. Wind screen, left front light and wing to be repaired…
I’m just hopeless how it’s gonna unfold…
Never heard any rental company that leaves the hirer fully liable for animal road incident…
Update after drop off:
Indie camper is asking for 7000$ for the repair at the check out.
No quote is even provided. I requested to check the quote, i’ve been denied…

后来开车的时候，我运气很差，一只袋鼠从路边窜了过来，把面包车撞得很重。还好乘客没有受伤。
找到信号后，我把这件事报告给了客服。真是个错误！！！他们告诉我这不在保修范围内。我要承担所有损失，还要安排好一切事宜，比如拖回维修站（700公里）和维修。
最后我还是自己回到了维修站，想和工作人员商量一下维修事宜。他们说我不应该告诉客服我撞到了一只袋鼠。现在一切都得找他们处理，而且费用会很高。
我觉得他们会用不切实际的维修费用把我坑死。
说实话，损失其实没那么严重。挡风玻璃、左前灯和尾翼都需要修理……
我简直不知道事情会发展成什么样……
我从未听说过哪家租车公司会让租车人对动物撞车事故承担全部责任……
还车后更新：
Indie Camper 在退房时要价 7000 美元进行维修。
甚至没有提供报价。我申请查看报价，但被拒绝了……
