点评:My husband suggested visiting (he's a train enthusiast) with my in-laws while we were staying with them. Having visited many train places before as the wife of an enthusiast I'm always ready to be slightly bored and also ready to try and find ways to entertain our 9 year old. However we all spent almost 3 hours very happily here!
It's got a random mix of things: crafts in the barn, crazy golf, a small sit on train ride with lots to spot, a short nature walk, there were crafts by the totem pole being run for children by a volunteer while we were there, the railway museum (husband and father in law went round) and the cafe. We all enjoyed it and the staff were all really friendly and kind. My daughter enjoyed the crafts run the volunteer and the crazy golf a lot. You only need to pay for the train ride (£1 each) and the museum (£4 each) the rest is based on donation only. This would be great for small children too as they hand some ride on toys and a small slide out the front and there was also a small play area out the back nearer the train. So overall something for everyone and surprisingly good fun that is really good value. Definitely worth a visit!
