Lovely (dog friendly) place to visit
Elham Valley Line Trust Countryside Centre & Railway Museum的点评
点评：We had a great time at the Railway, this being our second visit. It’s a really nice day out, with enthusiastic, friendly staff/volunteers, plenty to see and some lovely little extras in the (already very reasonable) ticket price.
It was £4 for adult admission and we were able to take the dogs round with us for free too! Only place dogs aren’t allowed is the cafe, but there’s loads of outside seating (including some covered seating for days that need it!)
On the note of dogs - it’s worth mentioning that at one point in the visit you go through one gate, cross over a footpath, and then into another gate back onto the railway site. This footpath is a lovely walk for the dogs, we turned right and walked up that way for about twenty minutes - a great leg stretch for the pooches before they’re back on the lead and into the museum!
There’s a great exhibition on the channel tunnel, lots of lovely old railway bits and pieces and several nice bits you can walk into and explore - like signal boxes and an old locomotive. There’s a couple of railway sheds filled with all sorts of interesting things to see! There are volunteers around who were friendly and chatty and a little mini train for families to go on too.
Back in the main building there’s some old crafts on display, a gift shop and the cafe. There’s also some garden games outside including a little mini golf that’s included in the the price of your ticket! There’s picnic tables for if you’ve brought food, and the cafe seemed to be doing a good trade when we were there too!
Would definitely recommend a trip here - a charming bit of history with a lovely walk nearby for fellow dog owners. Very good value and a great way to spend a couple of hours!

回到主楼，那里展出了一些古老的工艺品，还有一家礼品店和一家咖啡馆。户外还有一些花园游戏，比如包含在门票价格内的迷你高尔夫！如果你带了食物，这里还有野餐桌，我们去的时候，咖啡馆的生意似乎也不错！
强烈推荐来这里参观——这里历史悠久，环境优美，附近还有一条适合养狗人士的漂亮步道。非常超值，是消磨几个小时的好去处！
