点评：I have wanted to see Costa Rica since hearing about this country in 1969. My husband and I finally achieved our dream come true thanks to Rebeca and Costa Rica Expeditions for 17 days in May 2025. We cannot thank this company enough for their work to give us exactly what we wanted where we wanted it for such a good price. Accommodations were wonderful and included good breakfasts. All but one hotel had a restaurant where we could eat decent food in an open air setting for a reasonable price. In Arenal, a short 4 block walk took us to a terrific restaurant. Transportation drivers were on time and excellent. We especially appreciated Carlos. We had guided walks/tours in each of 5 areas of Northern Costa Rica: Tortuguero, Serapiki, Arenal, Monteverde, and Manuel Antonio. They all spoke decent English and were very informative and catered to our interests. Each one had a good scope so that we could see into the jungle for birds and critters we would have missed otherwise. We had 2 twilight walks that were amazing. The waterfall tour in La Paz is a must do to really see the wildlife of Costa Rica. This place is a sanctuary for animals taken illegally and found, but who cannot be returned to the wild. The Don Juan Coffee and Chocolate tour in Serapiki was excellent. We got to make chocolate to take home. Since we came in May, sometimes we were alone with our guide. Other times we were in small groups. Early May is a great time to travel, but be ready for heavy downpours in the afternoons on some days. The rain did not stop any of our tours. Be ready to manage high heat and humidity, which we found exhausting. At age 77 and 78, we still managed to do a lot of walking in the jungle, sometimes 2.5 hours - 4.5 hours. I do not encourage people to do this without a good guide. You will miss ALOT. Pura Vida to all.
