My wife and I discovered Recreo Verde while planning our first trip to Costa Rica. We were drawn to its location off the beaten path, hoping to experience the country’s natural beauty and authentic charm. What we found exceeded every expectation.
Our cabin (#10) was perched on a gentle hill, away from the main pool and restaurant. It felt like our own private retreat. The spacious covered patio became our favorite spot—rocking chairs, fresh coffee, and sweeping views of the forested hills. Pure bliss.
The hot spring pools were a highlight. We spent hours soaking in the warm waters, listening to the river rush by and letting the jungle sounds wash over us. There’s also a cool pool for contrast, and the entire property is beautifully maintained.
My only regret? Not staying longer. And not bringing a manuscript to finish.
If you're looking for a place to recharge, reconnect, or simply breathe deeply, Recreo Verde is unforgettable.
