Home and Away Tours的点评
点评：We were picked up from Sydney and driven in a coach to the location. Along the way the driver chatted and then some old footage was on the TV. They did warn that you may not see any filming or stars of the show but they did often film on the day we were going. We arrived and were right in the place they film outdoor scenes. There was a small kiosk to buy a snack and drink. They were very pleasant and you can buy tee shirts and mementos here too. I went down to the beach on the familiar path you always see on TV. I found an advertising surf board and had a photo taken with it and then went to dip my feet in the sea. You could see the lighthouse, but it was a very hot day and a 45 minute walk uphill so we stayed around the beach. We were very luck as they were filming 'Iene's' (Lynne McGranger), final day with mocktails party.
As we watched Alf (Ray Meagher), came over and chatted to us and was happy for us to take photos with him. Then Justin, (James Stewart), did the same . There were many cast members there that day, Irene, Alf, Justin, Theo, Leah, Marilyn, Roo, Dana, Harper and John. " new members I didn't recognise at the time Sonny and a young boy. We were very lucky to see so many. We had a good look around the area and beach and it was a lovely morning. I think as it was sunny and hot it helped.
After we were driven back to Manly which is a beautiful place and we stopped at a pub and had a bite to eat and sat on a balcony overlooking the sea. Beautiful.
We then got the ferry back to Sydney and enjoyed the views of the Opera House and Harbour bridge amongst other sights. The ferry is chap and a great way to get about in Sydney. Overall we had a memorable day out. My husband doesn't even watch H&A but had a great time just for a day out. We have many photos
