Winter owl Evening

点评：What an amazing evening, we started promptly at 7pm with the affable and incredibly knowledgeable Charlie, who introduced us to half of the resident owls, with snippets of information to make our visit enjoyable. We then went into Christmas tree cottage to see the “little owls” flying and doing their thing,then back out into the cold with Charlie and more owls before being served an amazing tea of soup and a roll, followed by jacket spud with beef bourguignon or bean casserole, nice cup of tea and biscuits follow before the highlight of the evening watching the big owls flying in the woods with only bare minimum light. The high point was being pitched into complete darkness and trying to seethe owl as he flew past (yes he was that close he whacked us both on the head as he flew past). In a nutshell if you want to be entertained and amazed as well as meeting some owls do it, you won’t regret it, and it happens in all weather so wrap up warmly.
