点评：We're from California wine country, so we've done our fair share of wine tastings over the years. Back home we only belong to one wine club because for us, it has to feel right - like you're part of something special, not just buying wine. After visiting Leuta, we joined our second.
Denis, the owner, hosted our private tasting and honestly it was such a refreshing change from the typical winery experience. No rushing, no feeling like you're on a conveyor belt. Jennifer walked us through the vineyards and showed us the production side of things. She really knows her stuff and you could tell how much work goes into every bottle. It gave us a whole new appreciation for what we were drinking.
We specifically picked Leuta because we didn't want one of those bus tours where you hit 5 wineries in a day and stumble back to your hotel barely remembering anything. We wanted something more personal and intimate, and that's exactly what we got.
The Cab Franc was incredible - definitely my favorite, though a few others were right up there. I was also really impressed with the Sauvignon Blanc. I'm big on crisp whites and this one hit all the right notes.
But honestly, what made the whole thing memorable was just how welcome we felt. The conversations, the relaxed vibe, getting to know Denis and Jennifer - that's what turned a wine tasting into a genuinely special afternoon for our family of four.
We're already planning our next trip back to Cortona and can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend if you want a real, authentic winery experience.
