Lovely food in the cafe

点评：I haven't lived in Alfreton long and I stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe and had to share!
I went for a homemade cheese and onion pie and chips (because, why not?) and it was absolutely spot-on. You could tell it hadn’t just been pulled out of a freezer — it was fresh, full of flavour, the crust was perfection, and the chips were lovely too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The young man who took our order couldn't do enough to help us and happily went to get us more vinegar and mayonnaise.
As for the prices — seriously, such good value! For the quality of the food, you’d expect to pay more, but this place clearly focuses on making good food accessible. It felt like eating at a friend’s house where they actually know how to cook.
Honestly, it’s one of those places that makes you want to become a regular. Great food, nice atmosphere, and doesn’t break the bank. What more could you want?
