My second visit to the Ulster Tower, a very special place.

点评：This was my second visit to the Ulster Tower, this time with my 16 year old son.
Austin, from Northern Ireland was the on site guide for the Ulster Somme Association, an extremely friendly and welcoming person. Austin and I chatted for a good while and he invited us to return later in the day and he would give us a tour of Thievpal Wood.
I do not think there are words or at least I am not articulate enough to use them to describe the nearly two hours we spent with Austin. He was simply brilliant and painted a picture for us of that horrendous day that I will never forget. My son was both enthralled and sobered by the tour and explanations of how the battle unfolded for the young men similar in age to himself.
Thankyou Austin for a very informative and important experience especially for my son. I would encourage anyone visiting to understand this important place and the sacrifice made, there is no entry fee but the Ulster Somme Association relies on donations.
