In person, OK, get tickets. If booking online, the best of British luck.
Palace Theatre的点评
Lovely Theatre. I have seen some excellent shows here. But it is let down by the online booking facility which never seems to work! So very frustrating!" That review was written in August 2017. I have just tried to use their online booking system in December 2024, and despite the intervening seven years (!!), no one of intelligence in a responsible position has clearly done a damn thing about improving it. I was just sent round and round on the website, changing names and password, then told that my "postcode was incomplete", which it wasn't, and then that my "card details were incomplete", which they weren't, until I ran out of time - so after 15 frantic minutes of going in circles avoiding a nervous breakdown, which the system described as "15 minutes of inactivity", the tickets were released. So I haven't bought them. What lost the sale here? It wasn't the theatre or the show, it was the sheer incompetence of the programmers, and of the management that doesn't get the system ripped out and replaced. Typical modern story. The irony of a vast capitalist machine that thinks it can "maximize profits and efficiency" by removing humans and sticking in algorithms that don't work and drive customers nuts and lose sales. The idea that we have to "worry" about Artificial Intelligence if this is what they do with computers is just ridiculous.
