Incredible Treasures!

点评：We had read the museum reviews on Tripadvisor, but we were still blown away by the sheer amount of automatic instruments - nickelodeons, band organs, music boxes and more. Unfortunately we got there a little late, and we found out that 1 hour is not nearly enough to see this kind of collection. Regular tours are 1 1/2 hours, but the very nice docent (Cami?) made an exception and did an abbreviated tour for us. We still got to see the most unusual instruments and she also turned them on for us. What a treat!
The gift store is worthwhile looking at, too, and I especially liked the fact that CDs with music played by those antique instruments were for sale. All in all this museum really exceeded our expectations!
Franklin seemed to be an interesting little town, but unfortunately we did not have time to explore the stores and restaurants and to see the Tiffany windows at St. John's Episcopal Church. I hope we can return some day!
