A must go! Worth every single penny.
Son Doong Cave的点评
点评：We are a group of 5 people from California (age 44-54), booked the tour 17 months in advance, joined Oxalis adventure in mid April 25, exited Son Doong cave with the uttermost satisfaction and fulfillment. Can’t believe this magnificent natural wonder exists on Earth! Pictures and videos do not justify what we saw in there!
Oxalis did such a great job hosting the tour. Gotta give 5+ star for the food! These gentlemen can cook. We really enjoyed the local veggies and herbs. At first, we were a bit surprised at the number of the porters coming along, but once we reached the campsites and saw how well organized and neat they were, as well as the logistics provided along the trek to ensure safety, then it all made sense. We were so impressed as how strong these porters are, they could easily carry 50kg on their backs and sprint thru the slippery rocks with the plastic sandals. Everything ran so smoothly and efficiently.
Our group got lucky to have British caver Howard Limbert on the tour. He shared many fun and interesting stories since the day the cave was discovered. Our tour guide Tha was professional and engaging. A big shout out to the safety assistants for carefully guiding us step by step, for taking pictures and videos for us, and for participating in the card games after dinners. We had such an amazing time!
Not only Oxalis adventure and Mr. Limbert have introduced this treasure to the world, they also have helped creating jobs for local villagers and improving their lives. They do such a good job in maintaining and preserving the caves, and in educating local communities to protect their environment. If you realize almost 1/3 of the tour fee goes to the National park conservation, and the logistics and man power provided on the tour then you see the tour price tag is more than reasonable.
This is a trip of a lifetime! If you have the opportunity to go, please do! You will not regret!
